    MHX2 for Blender plugin GitHub - makehumancommunity/mhx2-makehuman-exchange: Downstream fork of MHX2 I install the plugin into Blender and then export with .mhx2 format from MakeHuman into Blender and select OverRideExportedData on import and for the rig I select MHX (Not exported MHX just MHX so it generates a skeleton inside Blender). This provides every character I import with a well designed rig with an FK/IK switch so I can focus purely on animation.

    Combine that with The MHX plugin for Blender GitHub - makehumancommunity/mhx2-makehuman-exchange: Downstream fork of MHX2 that will allow you to import your MakeHuman character which you exported with the .mhx format into Blender (export it without a skeleton). Upon import you select the pure MHX rig option and it auto creates an FK/IK switchable rig for you so you can hop straight into animation. Which leads me to:
