    I see. But you haven't got a heap do you? So no dynamic dispatch with trait objects? You could maybe allocate a static array to hold on to the handlers. Take a look at how they register device drivers and iterate through them in the embedded-rasperrypi-OS-tutorial (one of the best organized projects I've read btw, lots of interesting patterns).
