  • 2.3GB ram usage.. memory leak on latest HA?
That's a dev build (aka not part of a "official" release yet), but it does seem a memory leak was fixed in it: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/commit/e8cda598acb630d018e5a4a55008f64fa9ee1c96

Maybe you are right :-) But when I look at this code I can see the numbers, that ref. to a condition (line 47 to 61) core/const.py at dev · home-assistant/core (github.com)
The condition names can be found here (english) or another language here.
  • PSA: If you just updated Home Assistant to 2021.1.2 for the Security Bulletin you need to upgrade once more to 2021.1.3
Based on the code submitted to mitigate this issue you are wrong. The code prevents untrusted external source from submitting specific things (SQL injection, remote file execution) via the home assistant API https://github.com/home-assistant/core/blob/2600fdfa67ccadd6d1c048c784d5247c012f4a1e/homeassistant/components/http/security_filter.py
The release of 0.100.0 (Oct 10, 2019) saddened some, as the glorious Release 1.0.0 wasn't here yet, but Home Assistant still had a bit to go before it could be called a full release. Now using three-digit numbers for the minor releases, 0.release.minor[b] continued through the remainder of 2019 as well as all of 2020.

You’re literally the first person to have the same problem as me! I’ve reached every single channel about this issue yet no reply. 😔 Perhaps you could help me push the issue here ? https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/44935

Here's the relevant part of the commit, which adds some sanitization to requests coming from custom components: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/compare/2021.1.1...2021.1.2#diff-fcd766ca652cf2b9cb54a1c6edf81083c1a3857870a87d33d84f37e2aa2f616e

It’s not. It’s about sql injection and arbitrary file execution - they added a “filter” for these in the api as a fix https://github.com/home-assistant/core/blob/2600fdfa67ccadd6d1c048c784d5247c012f4a1e/homeassistant/components/http/security_filter.py
This delta makes me think that they've caught some code trying to do some pretty nasty things via the HTTP based API. I'd like to think that this would be easily caught by any of the eyes that routinely work on the core, but I don't think it'd be super difficult to skirt by all that just by manipulating a library that one of the things in core depends on.
This is the diff on .2 patch: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/compare/2021.1.1...2021.1.2#diff-fcd766ca652cf2b9cb54a1c6edf81083c1a3857870a87d33d84f37e2aa2f616e
