Me trying to close this ticket for “new” software
It can technically run it, but I've had issues with driver support for the 9x systems. I prefer PCem for those really old systems. It emulates specific hardware from that time period and works better in my experience.

How do you emulate old Win95 games with 3dfx? And how to set up quicklaunch for it on a frontend?
DOSBox's Win9x support is spotty at best, and there's no need to use it or a virtual machine when PCem exists. You can set up an entire period-accurate machine in software with your choice of processor, RAM, and graphics cards. Voodoo and 3dfx support is very solid, though it is a bit on the resource-intensive side.

Has anyone been able to get Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred Blood of the Dammed functional on modern hardware?
I have used PCem for playing Windows 98 era games; I would give that a try. Though you have to download and install Windows 98 with it.

This is my first time downloading an abandonware, so I'm sorry this is dumb but
In these cases, one possibility is to install the entire Windows 98 system in a computer emulator, such as PCem and 86Box, but, like Virtual Machines it is also a big learning curve, but here's the tip in case you ever need it.
