Filament Sensor and OctoPi
Hmmm interesting, not sure why it would be doing that. You could try Trey's version of the firmware, it built on 2.0.9.3 instead of 2.1.1 but it's mostly the same. https://github.com/just-trey/Marlin/tree/elegoo-neptune-2/config/Elegoo/Neptune-2

Neptune 2s . What marlin are u using?
Best recommendations I can give is make sure your SD card is freshly formatted with FAT32 and only has the elegoo.bin on in. If this firmware https://github.com/mlee12382/Elegoo-Neptune-Marlin/tree/bugfix-2.1.x/config Is not working for you try this version: https://github.com/just-trey/Marlin/tree/elegoo-neptune-2/config/Elegoo/Neptune-2/V1.3 Make sure you download the version for the correct board and with or without BLTouch/Clone

Tips to New Owners from a Recent New Owner
This one I debated on including because it deviates from stock, but there's more documentation on using Marlin then there is for the stock elegoo firmware at this point so I think it's smart: flash your printer with Marlin. When people talk about Marlin around here they are talking about a version compiled by /u/just-trey like a year ago that is configured for Neptune 2/2S/2D. All the instructions for loading it onto your printer are on there. It is very stable and works very well. As I said, there is more support available online for Marlin than for stock Elegoo firmware. You also get great features like mesh bed leveling (with or without probe), custom preheat based on filament type, several more software-level protections from hardware malfunctions, an initial touchscreen calibration process that fixed all of my personal touchscreen woes, and many more features that I can't list. You cannot use the MKS wi-fi chip with this release but besides that this is an actual "upgrade" with very few downsides. One of the only things recommended by this community that I back wholeheartedly.

z offset adjustment while printing?
just-trey has a marlin build for the 2/2S that is supposed to be good, although I haven’t used it personally. https://github.com/just-trey/Marlin/blob/elegoo-neptune-2/config/Elegoo/Neptune-2/README.md

SKR Mini e3 v3 on the neptune 2s
If you want marlin without switching to a new board then this ( https://github.com/just-trey/Marlin/tree/elegoo-neptune-2/config/Elegoo/Neptune-2) is a good option.

I just added a BL Touch to my Neptune 2s
That's it, should be stored at that point :) if you want a better firmware that handles the bltouch better try this out: https://github.com/just-trey/Marlin/tree/elegoo-neptune-2/config/Elegoo/Neptune-2
