Yep! There are included campaigns. There are a bunch that are being maintained by volunteers (new features often break the campaign files so they have to be updated). The campaigns currently being maintained can be seen on the wiki here.
  • IL2:1956 is an amazing mod worth the 2+ hours of install attempts. CAC Sabres are a delight.
Liberation is this awesome dynamic campaign generator I just found out about and tried for the first time tonight. It seems pretty awesome so far. Google some YouTube videos. Look up DCS Liberation campaign. Here’s a link to the GitHub. It’s a free download and it runs outside of DCS. For each turn of the campaign it generates a new mission file that you open in the mission editor and play through. It has tons of Options and customization if you want to get into that, but it’s also really easy to spin up a simple campaign without getting into the weeds with it too.
  • DCS Liberation: Split load across at least 2 CPU cores to improve FPS

TLDR: If you have at least 32GB RAM and struggle with FPS in DCS Liberation, try running the mission in a seperate DCS server instance on the same machine to split the work load across multiple CPU cores.
