[Ryza 1] How do I fix the framerate on PC?
1.) Make sure that you have this downloaded. This will greatly fix your performance with not only Ryza 1 but the rest of the secret series and other Gust titles as well. To install it, you download and unzip the atfix.zip in that link and place the file in your game's install folder. To do this, open Steam, right click on whatever game you're trying to fix, Properties --> Local files --> Browse. Then drop the .dll in that directory.

PSA for anyone planning to play Atelier Ryza 3 on the Steam Deck. You'll need to add this simple fix to the game's folder for it to run well.
Here is the fix. It was created by someone who works with Valve -- the guy who made DXVK, which Proton and the Steam Deck relies upon. He made this fix that works for various Atelier games: https://github.com/doitsujin/atelier-sync-fix/releases

I just finished the first two Ryza games on my Steam Deck, my first of any Atelier games.
Overall had a good experience with both and with the doitsujin fix, CryoUtilities, and refresh rate set to 50hz they ran well on deck, but I think between the two of them I like Hideout better than Fairy. The story just felt like had more going on. The side story stuff in Fairy was much better but the overall not much actually happens in the game. I did like combat way better in Fairy though.
