  • Unable to Install Steam on Tumbleweed
    1 project | /r/openSUSE | 21 Dec 2022
I always use this project to get everything set up for gaming - https://github.com/Ahmed-Al-Balochi/LibreGaming. A quick word of advice, I would recommend using the python option (sudo python3 setup.py install --user), then I would launch Steam, set up all the lirbaries and using proton, etc, then shut it down and run Libregaming -p to install the latest version of Glorious Eggroll's Proton.
  • Is Fedora gaming "ready"?

You can even make it a lot easier using something like LibreGaming, I've used it before and it's pretty good, makes installing those tools very simple.
  • Steam Proton Games Don't Boot [Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon]
    1 project | /r/linux4noobs | 27 May 2022
Make sure you've removed all amd packages. I believe some can cause issues. Make sure you have any dependencies you might need. This script can help with that. Don't forget 32 bit Nvidia packages. You could also try the Steam flatpak which should come with all the needed dependencies.
  • Steam-TrackMania nations forever launch problems. First time trying proton
    1 project | /r/linux_gaming | 6 Dec 2021
Check out LibreGaming to download any dependencies that may be missing, I'm not quite sure whats causing the crash.
  • For people who use this distro
    1 project | /r/elementaryos | 20 Oct 2021
I use the LibreGaming script on Github to install everything I need (WINE Staging, Steam, Lutris etc) and games work very well, whether using WINE?Proton or native Linux titles
  • Error Rockstar games launcher in Lutris

Also i used ProtonGE using this "https://github.com/Ahmed-Al-Balochi/LibreGaming" and this "https://www.reddit.com/r/wine\_gaming/comments/no5l54/method\_to\_use\_protonge\_with\_lutris/"
  • A bit of help with installing Manjaro
    1 project | /r/ManjaroLinux | 12 Sep 2021
Well you should by letting manjaro be installed on the ssd alongside windows ther is a option in the installer . I would prefer swap to file rather than a partition . About apps I would recomend installing the proprietary drivers from manjaro settings. And install some thing like libregaming to install required packages.( I havent personally used it as it is a new project but there are many youtubers covering it on there channel so i asume it would be fine ) . About the virus it depends from where you install it as it can run under wine but its not that big of an issue as for moat people the games they require are either in steam or available on lutris which both are highly popular and repiluted platform to download games for linux.
