If you want to go down a bit of a rabbit hole: You can get Termux to get a (somewhat limited, but useful) Linux environment that runs as an Android app, install Python and ffmpeg packages, and download yt-dlp, a command-line YouTube downloader. It'll download from quite a few sites, including YouTube, and it's all running on your phone, so there's no sketchy websites involved.

If you just want a convenient way to download YouTube videos, there's a thing called youtube-dl. It's a command line program, but there are GUI versions (basically apps) to use it
