For what it's worth, dual booting is currently supported- it's just not dead simple to set up yet. Same with running Epic Games Store titles; You can use something like Lutris or the Heroic Games Launcher to download and play your free EGS games through Proton, but it's not exactly as simple as it would be on Windows.
