No idea what that software is doing exactly, but if you are video capturing/encoding a game you are running on a computer, you don't want that framebuffer to have to transit anywhere to be encoded. One of the major advantages of NNENC.

Intel's GPUs has never been great for gaming. I don't know if the 5980HS removes the need for an discrete GPU performance wise.
