  • ripgrep-all

rga: ripgrep, but also search in PDFs, E-Books, Office documents, zip, tar.gz, etc.

  • For searching, I use a tool called rga to search through the text inside all the PDFs in my library.

  • zotero-better-bibtex

Make Zotero effective for us LaTeX holdouts

  • I use Zotero for capturing articles (i.e. saving the PDF file and adding the corresponding BibTeX entry). I use the Better BibTeX plugin along with Zotfile. These plugins help me rename and move the downloaded PDFs into my library folder. I follow the AuthorYear naming scheme for the PDFs.

  • org-roam

    Rudimentary Roam replica with Org-mode

  • For note taking, I use org-roam, an obsidian-like tool for emacs (my text editor). For each article that I've read, I have an org-roam node (a note with proper tags) that I can reference later.

  • ranger

A VIM-inspired filemanager for the console

  • My file-manager, ranger supports tagging file with a letter. I use this feature sometime to tag PDFs of different topics.
