  • Another area that this plugin does not touch on that much is foliage painting. Unreal has a wonderful tool integrated for that. Godot has the Spatial Gardener for 3.x made by one guy who was never to be heard of again, definitely a great plugin, but in 4.0 you have to hope, that somebody has forked and migrated it...

  • As for Godot Dictionaries, initially I also wanted to avoid them, but then ran into several issues (#76898, #76889) when recompiling the plugin at runtime, which forced me to use Godot Dictionaries. Also, I strongly warn against the use of the C# event Action in Editor Plugins, since they often get lost, then reference nullptr, and sometimes make your editor crash. I think this stuff will probably take long to fix, and thus it's important to consider if you're making stuff running in the editor in C#.
