Project mention: Looking for tutorials / Hello world projects to create Neovim plugins using Pynvim | /r/neovim | 2023-12-10I think in-the-wild examples like Ultisnips deoplete semshi (although they are advanced and somewhat complex) would also be good examples to learn how one can use python for writing plugins.
chadtree for dealing with files in the current project & Rnvimr (which basically integrates Ranger) when I want to work with files all over the disk.
You can ranger inside of Neovim with this plugin rnvimr. Check it out. Neo-tree is another plugin that I like as a file manager. And also mini.files is another option if you prefer a more minimal approach and the ability to manipulate files like you edit a normal Neovim buffer. I'm pretty sure there are other great options out there as well, these are just my personal preferences.
Project mention: Which software do you use to create presentations using Vim that is superior to existing ones? | /r/neovim | 2023-12-11Quarto is a higher level tool that uses latex/pandoc under the hood. It can run Jupyter style code blocks and include results, and exports to Beamer, RevealJS, and Power Point for presentations. It has very good neovim integration through quarto-nvim, molten.nvim, image.nvim, and otter.nvim.
Project mention: Best note taking app that available in Linux (AUR or git) and Android? | /r/linuxmasterrace | 2023-05-12This could be useful if you’re using keep: https://github.com/stevearc/gkeep.nvim.
https://github.com/fregante/GhostText with a plugin for neovim, my editor of choice: https://github.com/subnut/nvim-ghost.nvim
Project mention: What's a very simple config change that you can't live without? | /r/neovim | 2023-06-02ive heard good things about this and ive been meaning to check it out myself: https://github.com/mthbernardes/codeexplain.nvim
So I polished off the dust from an existing project to incorporate comments and track changes + general restructure for vim / Overleaf integration. Other cool keybindings include syncing to git and compiling from vim. I realized I didn't show that updates happen the other way (from overleaf to vim), but they do.
