I'm currently rebuilding my Voron V2.4 among others with CAN using a BTT EBB36:

You want one of these toolhead boards or similar. Definitely putting them on my next printer. Stepper driver for extruder, seperate MCU, accelerometer, fan outputs, led outputs, all wiring for the heater element and thermistor, and more. Only needs 2 data wires, plus power and ground. Fits in the footprint of a stepper motor.

Flash newest possible firmware into all the hardware (!!! including U2C if you are using it !!!). There is help for compiling and flashing your own klipper image for EBB36. https://github.com/bigtreetech/EBB

Well I used the UART cable like in your guide with the same waveshare board I connected a blue wire to the low and a yellow high both 22 awg using the pinpout from here and I ran two 18 awg from psu directly to the other side of the molex using the same pinout image. Then connected blue to low on waveshare and yellow to waveshare . I have the 120ohm resistor on it's jumper position and at one time the uuid showed up of the tool head I placed that in the EBBCan.cfg and it was visible until I rebooted. I might try to reflash and terminate all wires again tomorrow evening after I get off to verify. If it won't work then, I'll assume something is wrong with the ebb36 board and return it. Try to get a replacement. I know they're getting proper voltage on cause everytime I turn it on the bl touch that's hooked up on the tool head performs the self check of the servo motor where the pin goes down and up again like three times like it says on the klipper man page
