Blog comments on a static site via social networks
I like this. I wish the underlying service was self hostable though.
It reminds me of Upvote Anywhere which adds related Reddit discussions on (almost) any site. - https://github.com/z0ccc/Upvote-Anywhere

I wanted to recreate the backlink experience on Obsidian while browsing web content, so I made a Chrome extension that will find HN & Reddit discussions that have relevant content or that link to your current page.
Is it similar to https://github.com/z0ccc/Upvote-Anywhere?

Webmentions yes, JavaScript no
In the interim, I found myself pondering why every webmentions-on-Hugo solution I’d ever found up to now used JavaScript, rather than trying to do it purely in Hugo. After all, Hugo sports plenty of data-grabbing horsepower. For example: in my own experience to date, I’ve found Hugo's getJSON feature just as useful as the node-fetch on which the aforementioned JS relied to grab data from webmention.io.
