Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.

BioWare released documentation on the RIM format with the NWN toolset. You can find a copy on the xoreos repository here.
What are some alternatives?
xoreos - A reimplementation of BioWare's Aurora engine (and derivatives). Pre-pre-alpha :P
reone - Game engine capable of running KotOR and TSL
micro-rpg-catalog - A bunch of resources for micro-mini RPG systems
AuroraCrashPatcher - Quick patch to prevent fatal crashing when downloading title assets (boxart, etc) through FSD or Aurora.
