Is there a way for my player's to see what other player's token see?
Here's a curve ball, though - my preferred way to manage this issue is to use Token Lean - lets players hold down a key and move the mouse around to sliiiightly tweak their own field of vision. It's intended to use for peeking around corners, but it's generally good for letting you glimpse things that are just barely out of view. It won't help if players are on literally opposite ends of the area, but in that case, I'd be wondering, who on earth got so badly out of position? :)

Trying to stop tokens disappearing in shared vision. Is there a way to fix this?
Since you're using the Shared Vision module, this sounds like a bug within the module. The default behavior of Foundry is to show only what a token can see when it's selected and show everything you have permission to when deselected. The fact that the vision is retained but the token disappears sounds like a bug. You should probably create a bug report on the module's development page.

Question about fog of war:
Shared Vision, which does exactly what you seem to want. You can use this to link up the vision of all player-tokens so they'll all be able to see together.
