taskwarrior VS zk-nvim

A task manager tool that supports syncing with Taskwarrior.

Not much to say, it's a {https://github.com/GothenburgBitFactory/taskwarrior}(command line utility for task management) with a lot of features. I like it because I tend to spend more time on desktop than mobile, although there are a {https://github.com/bgregos/foreground}(couple) of {https://f-droid.org/es/packages/kvj.taskw/}(apps) for Android users. It allows synchronization between devices by setting up your own {https://taskwarrior.org/docs/taskserver/setup/}(taskserver) or using {https://inthe.am/}(third party tools).

I set out on this course with taskchampion-lib about three years ago. It quickly became clear that some tooling would help.

Web-based tools and gui apps are just too high friction for my work flow, so I prefer simple command line tools. https://taskwarrior.org/ is my current favorite.

I’ll volunteer Taskwarrior (https://taskwarrior.org), since I don’t see it from anyone else just yet. It’s a CLI oriented task management system which (once you learn it) can be very quick and easy to use. It’s not perfect but they’ve done a better job that I would have for sure, and have really thought about reducing friction.

Cool, I set it in my Google Calendar and put it in my Taskwarrior that I started using.

Development on it isn't as active as it was once upon a time, but it's definitely still happening! A new (large) pull request was opened just yesterday: https://github.com/GothenburgBitFactory/taskwarrior/pull/3094

I've been using zk-nvim[0], it works well enough for me and uses Markdown.

I find zk-nvim does most of what I need for markdown downs, while using plain markdown.

Hi, i'm an author of https://github.com/dj8yfo/meudeus tool . I created it as a drop-in replacement of https://github.com/mickael-menu/zk for myself in personal workflow. zk, despite working great as an lsp, always let me wondering where i'm at, because the structure of different md files is different. mds has no journal, as i found out that myself was a too shortlived living thing to reread the history of what i was doing a month ago. It doesn't require editor plugins or being used as an lsp, you'd only require to replace helix with vim/nvim in config Cheers.

I am currently working off a fork of lazyvim, but good to know that it is the right place. I've also seen neorg, but I'm not sure what it's advantages really are over just using org files. Also, I saw that a zk plugin exists. Do you have any experience with that?

Currently there are three choices that looks promising to me: neorg (might be too complicated for me), zk.nvim, and telekasten.nvim. What is your experience if you use one of these plugins for note-taking? How well can they address the problems listed above?

I'm using zk-nvim with markdown lsp, markdown / markdown_inline Treesitter and MKDNFLOW for my notes and tasks. This all works great and I also created this shortcut to archive selected lines to a different file
