Quick question: Why is my steering wheel for ETS2 detected on the native version but not with proton?
I have a thrustmaster T150 steering wheel for my PC, and I installed a driver from this github page, and it worked right away when I launched euro truck simulator 2 in the native version. But becasue I found out that the native version has significantly worse performance than proton and it didn't support vkBasalt, I switched. When I launched ETS2 with proton, it was not detected anymore.

Thrustmaster T80 Ferrari 488 GTB on Linux
There are kernel modules for other Thrustmaster wheels such as the T150 and T300RS but not the T80, unfortunately.

Anyone got t150_driver to work with Project Cars 2, Proton 6.33?

Problem getting thrustmaster tmx wheel to work on linux
you should reply directly to the user so I get a notification when you respond, I only noticed this post by chance. Anyways something like this should work https://github.com/scarburato/t150_driver/blob/master/files/etc/udev/rules.d/10-t150.rules but you will have to replace the name/model id/vendor id with the appropriate ones, I'm surprised that tmdrv doesn't have an example rule

Does installing games on an NTFS drive cause slowdown?
Valve has a tutorial on how to mitigate Proton games from not working on NTFS drives. I did this in the past and got all games working but like most people are saying ITT, you'd better off using a different filesystem like btrfs since you can also use winbtrfs driver on Windows https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/wiki/Using-a-NTFS-disk-with-Linux-and-Windows

Anyone here play GOG games on Linux? What's the best way to run them?
Just install Steam for Linux and that's it. Wine is an old emulation layer mainly for programs where it's superseded by Valve developed https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton which is developed only for PC-to-Linux gaming so you can simply add GOG DRM free games as non-Steam game as Steam will take over with its Proton layering.

GOG finally remove the false "in progress" note about GOG Galaxy for Linux
And it was just merely 2 days ago someone else was extremely optimistic here asking for GOG to support Linux for SteamDeck to replace Deck UI with GOG Galaxy instead. I was the bad guy there telling the this very truth that you just proven for me that GOG doesn't care about Linux, like the rest of all other gaming companies except Steam plays big with their https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton.

[Tech Support] Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen: game works flawlessly via steam except for a CTD when trying to enter Bitterblack Isle for the first time
Have you looked on the proton github to see if your issue is mentioned there? That's where I'd head next and if it's not mentioned, post some details so that this bug is on Valve/Codeweaver's radar.
