Sodium causing crashes
[22:52:47] [Render thread/WARN]: If the game crashes immediately after this point, please make a bug report: https://github.com/CaffeineMC/sodium-fabric/issues

The Crashes of Grian
I googled "fabric crashes with falling block" and found this GitHub Issue in the Sodium Repo. Solution: install Indium, because continuity relies on it to bridge over to sodium.

Torch flames appearing through walls whenever I pick up an item
if https://github.com/CaffeineMC/sodium-fabric/issues/1006 is what you are talking about, it is an upstream issue for any forge port of the sodium mod

Does anyone know why my Minecraft looks really jagged? It looks like the anti-aliasing/anisotropic filtering is really off or something.
Wow, a reasonable criticism! According to this issue, transparency sorting hasn’t been implemented, and so the behavior is inconsistent. Surprised to see a pull request linked that had fixed it, but was never merged and is now incompatible. Definitely affects users who have farms and stained glass builds though!

Optifine making chunks/the entire world invisible?
The problem with the multithreaded version of Optifine is that OpenGL doesn't officially support multithreading (at least not with older versions of OpenGL; Sodium (for modern versions) uses a "multidraw" function to get up to 10x the FPS but also uses OpenGL 4+, and even then it has issues on many drivers. Note that using such modern features would require a "core profile", precluding the use of all legacy fixed-function methods so the entire renderer would have to be rewritten).

- Is this ice glitch a Sodium thing? Any ideas on a fix?

Getting a new computer
What I learned over the past months: - Minecraft 1.16.5 is running flawless. This is due to the state of the game and the associated Java version. - 1.12 and older modpacks is a hit and miss. This is because this older Minecraft version is using the older Java Version 8 instead of Java 11 or above - 1.18 runs stable but I get lower frame rate. This is due to changes introduced to the game and is not limited to Apple. You’ll see the same on Windows. - MultiMC is going to be your favourite launcher. - You’ll have to install the proper Java version made for Apple M1. This is not a problem. You just need to know as it’s not obvious. - Apple silicon requires a little hack: https://github.com/yusefnapora/m1-multimc-hack

Just got a new M1 Macbook air, what is this error and how can I fix it?
In any case, the easiest way is using one of the many community-maintained M1 launchers like ManyMC. I personally use m1-multimc-hack with updated LWJGL.

Minecraft for arm
Completely native isn’t available for now. But take a look at this: https://github.com/yusefnapora/m1-multimc-hack

Minecraft of Macbook Pro
I recommend installing Sodium (the fabric mod) to improve FPS greatly. You'll probably have to use something like this https://github.com/yusefnapora/m1-multimc-hack in order to get it to run natively on your M1 chip. See this guide on this subreddit for more information: https://www.reddit.com/r/macgaming/comments/lfcaer/minecraft_running_native_on_m1_sodium_mod_insane/

Minecraft on Apple Silicon
Please give us a native port of Minecraft Java Edition for Apple Silicon. The game runs through Rosetta 2, but with performance hits and no guarantee it will be supported forever. It has already been proven that Minecraft can be run natively on Apple Silicon using a recompiled LWJGL using the excellent MultiMC Hack. I have personally tested this using Oracle JDK 17 which is natively available for Apple Silicon. Given this information, it is time an official launcher is released for Apple Silicon.

Can you run Minecraft Java on M1 Macbook Air base model? If yes then how? Will Tlauncher work? Also how many frames you get on medium settings? I’m dying to know these pls help lol
Btw I play Minecraft on my m1 mini and let it run native which improved the performance for me. I followed the following instructions: https://github.com/yusefnapora/m1-multimc-hack

To get Minecraft running natively, install multimc and “patch” it.

Minecraft Performance on M1
You should consider using this guide to get Minecraft running natively. You can also add the sodium mod. The performance difference is quite insane as seen here.
