Nice, that's good to know. Adding a depth camera like an Intel Realsense could be a viable option, however, they can be a bit expensive. I was thinking starting of with the cheapest lidar I could find, the Slamtec RPLidar A1 . There is a publicly available Rust driver created by Slamtec themselves: https://github.com/cnwzhjs/rplidar.rs .
