I export a notebook into a pdf using the reMarkable web interface (and a USB cable). I have a few pages that i created using `reSnap` (https://github.com/cloudsftp/reSnap) since I sometime don't want the highlight to appear yellow. `reSnap` create images with dimension of 1404 x 1872 while the build-in export create pages of 928 x 1238. Just FYI, I use `pdftoppm` tool to break the pdf into multiple images. I resize the big images to be 928 x 1237 using gimp and I use `convert` to re-create the pdf.

Here is the link to the github repo if you are interested in it. I preffered to not install all on my laptop so I just create a docker container with all the stuff set up correctly.

If the goal is to share the visual contents of the pad, why not just stream the graphics over SSH?

reStream is a fantastic way to get live video of your reMarkable's screen without signing up for the reMarkable Cloud (which flakes out often with LiveView).

reStream is what you're looking for. rMview used to have a reStream-like feature, but it hasn't been updated in a long while.

reStream should work, even with the latest firmware. I know there's a "brightness" issue, but I can't report it because I won't use GitHub. Someone submitted a hacky pull request to fix it by adjusting ffmpeg brightness settings, which should work.

Check out restream if you want an alternative, it doesnt work quite as well over wifi but over cable it’s not bad, and it’s free

reStream worked well for me before rmview added ScreenShare support. The main downside with reStream is that the screen share is grayscale (as you see on the tablet), whereas rmview with ScreenShare has color support.

I recently installed reStream on my reMarkable 2. The screen mirroring works, however I am experiencing extremely high latency (over 4 seconds) both when connected via USB and Wifi. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? From what I've read the latency is expected to be much lower (which would make it a lot more usable).
