I want to get into algorand coding (become a dev), where should a beginner start?
Algorand has pretty good developer tutorials in general. If you already know some Python, then you got a foot in the door. It's easiest to start with the Algorand Python SDK, and build little proof-of-concept scripts with that.

If your goal is to create a gigantic graph of ALL the transactions ever done, it might be worth running your own node? Then you can use the indexer_client service to set up your own Algorand-Indexer API with a graph database underneath.
