Smart memory management, not always smart
Shameless plug: you can use an observable unique_ptr if you want the cheapness of unique_ptr with (most of) the safety of weak_ptr without paying so much for it.

Also if you want to convert enum members to string representation I suggest you just use magic_enum instead, much smaller dependency.
