Would it be technically possible for an arch server to build and serve aur packages to other machines/distros?
Debian has the MPR https://mpr.makedeb.org/
-
Debian User Repository MPR AUR for Debian
https://mpr.makedeb.org/ this is the link.
-
Doesn’t using a different package manager defeat the purpose of Debian?
I know the MPR is a thing, but I've always found it unwieldy to use.
-
LURE development progress update (December 2021)
So the main difference from something like MPR is that it does that same thing, but for more packages, not only .deb files?
-
Newer packages on PopOS?
Regarding system repositores, it's generally best to avoid tampering with system repositories like this because it'll cause problems with release upgrades down the line. But if you really want to, look into https://mpr.makedeb.org/ with the expectation that a release upgrade with these packages installed will most likely fail.

PSA: For all you ex-Arch users out there, check out `makedeb` and `lure` for all of your out-of-band software needs
makedeb - Like makepkg, but produces installable *.deb files. There are already lots of packages in the MPR

Introducing Mist: An AUR-helper like application for Debian and Ubuntu based systems
Mist is powered by the MPR, an AUR-like repository that's also for Debian and Ubuntu based systems (of which I'm also the project lead for, as well as the makedeb project listed below). In short, it uses pretty much the same PKGBUILD format that you'd see on Arch Linux, but uses them to build .deb packages instead of Arch Linux packages.

Why is AUR (Arch Linux user repository) Muse Hub gone?
Debtap does this exact thing. Unfortunately stuff like dependencies can't always be directly translated. In this case, debtap will try to pull in some odd libc dependencies that cause jank in my experience.

simple question, simple answer
If there is no official Arch package but official .deb packages are available, you can always use debtap which automatically converts a .deb into a .pkg
-
Is there any software helps build AUR packages and update them?

Between .deb and .rpm, which is less awkward to use with arch?
My employer wants me to install an antivirus that doesn't seem to be available in pacman or AUR. It's available as a .deb and a .rpm. It looks like it's possible to install either of them; for .deb I've found debtap and and for .rpm there's this article that I haven't read closely.

AUR is the swiss army knife of every GNU/Linux l33t haxxx0r
Have you tried debtap? It converts .deb files into arch packages. I've used it a handful a times to convert packages (haven't tried the ones you mentioned, though).

Finnaly ,inner peace
That's neat. Arch users can use Debtap to convert deb packages into Arch packages.

Is Linux right for me?
Did you actually find a deb for anything that is not also available through the AUR? If so, there is debtap. It's really not that hard to write a PKGBUILD, though.
