    This is because, your Mac has probably a T2 chip and isn’t fully compatible with Tails. You can, however, try to disable secure boot and allow to start from USB devices from the recoveryOS (more here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208198). If that doesn’t work, you can try to install rEFInd and boot from there and from there boot to Tails (more here: https://wiki.t2linux.org/guides/refind/), but WiFi, Bluetooth, Touch Bar (if there) and the integrated keyboard and Trackpad of your Mac won’t work, but a USB keyboard, Mouse and Ethernet. But if you need integrated keyboard, trackpad, WiFi, Bluetooth and Touch Bar (if there) support, here is a tutorial link: https://github.com/T2minator/mbp-tails. Hopefully, I have helped you
