Is there an osm alternative to the "road shape" Google Maps has in big cities? They draw the outline of the road instead of just straight lines, including crosswalk & median. Is there a way to draw an area where the road surface is, (similar to parking lots areas)?
A recent talk covers why this is hard, and possible steps forward. Slides, video. There's active work going on in osm2lanes and another piece we're spinning out for geometry, if anyone's interested in working on this

[Media] My first wasm: Forest Fire model (see comments)
I've figured this out recentlyish a few times. You can make a github actions workflow build the .wasm to avoid checking it in. See https://github.com/zonebuilders/zonebuilder-rust/blob/main/.github/workflows/web.yml for one example, or https://github.com/a-b-street/osm2lanes/blob/main/.github/workflows/web.yml slightly simpler using trunk. Once the workflow runs once, a gh-pages branch will appear, and you can enable github pages from that branch in the project settings

What is the best way to contribute to help get something like this included in the standard tile servers and/or osmand? All I could find was a request for help with https://github.com/a-b-street/osm2lanes
What are some alternatives?
