That doesn't appear to be accurate; at their Github repo they say they are "working on publishing the add-on for Firefox," and I can't find any indication that they've actually done so.

Don't know why you're being down voted for being cautious? I may not personally get it but it's never bad being cautious. If it does help, ClearURLs is open source so anyone can see the code.

I have 49 add-ons enabled, how can I switch between a different configuration of addons as needed ? (other than running a private window)

But yeah totally agree with you, for other people like me and that don't want to waste time manually editing URLs I can recommend the Open Link With... app on Android and the ClearURLs extension for browsers (Firefox/Chromium)

You can use the ClearURLs addon. I've been using it for years. It's not perfect, but it automatically removes a lot of tracking stuff. Everyone should be using it actually.
