Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

In which circumstances is C++ better than Rust?
I can show you a real world example: https://github.com/hyperledger/iroha The C++ version compiles in 3 minutes. The rust version takes 15, and the Rust version isn't even complete yet. Moreover, the target dir grows to sometimes in excess of 50GiB, if you have debug symbols, several features and incremental compilation. C++ by contrast keeps it in the low 8GiB which allows me to mount it to tmpfs.

Is rust-analyzer necessary?
There are no Rust files or Cargo.toml files in this repo: https://github.com/Hyperledger/Iroha

Looking to help out with an open source project
My daily work is developing an open source Rust blockchain. Our team is small, so we appreciate any help. You can take a look here: https://github.com/hyperledger/iroha/tree/iroha2-dev

My First Impressions of Web3
> Blockchains are designed to be a network of peers, but not designed such that itβs really possible for your mobile device...
If I am not mistaken Hyperledger Iroha[0] has(had?) that as one of its goals.

Algorithmic Survival in the Metaverse
We set ourselves the goal of building a bot to successfully resist these guilds. This document explains how we used the Moonstream API, moonworm to parse game activity directly from the Gnosis blockchain and to create a large enough horde of ships to break the guildβs stranglehold on the galaxy. Below you will find a brief article in the form of a story.

My First Impressions of Web3
We have built an open source tool that you can connect to any node (on an Ethereum-based blockchain) and instantly start building datasets about contracts that you care about. All you need is their ABI.
https://github.com/bugout-dev/moonworm
We are committed to keeping this code free. Our policy is only to charge for our operational expertise, but all the code that we use is open source. We are in the process of opening our platform up for decentralization (so anyone can contribute node time, storage, etc.).
Intellectual property is theft.

[P] An analysis of 7,020,950 NFT transactions on the Ethereum blockchain
We are working on addressing this issue. We're building a tool (https://github.com/bugout-dev/centipede) which will automatically generate a crawler for any smart contract given its ABI.
