iRFFB - iRacing Force Feedback - this is a plugin that will replace iRacings standard Force Feedback, control things like suspension bumps, understeer and dial in your force feedback settings to your exact wheel. https://github.com/nlp80/irFFB/wiki

It's a 3rd party program that changes how the force feedback feels. I'm guessing you don't use it though. Here's the download link, and the video I followed to install it, if you want to try it out. Probably not the best idea to start adding more variables while you're trying to find a bug though.

It works opposite of what you think "max force" does, hell, it even says it right on the GitHub page for irFBB:

I wrote a program for planning my iracing races and recently added this feature.

That issue is also mentioned in the iracing forum and it seems that is on purpose. The companion app also doesn't help because it always shows the shopping cart symbol. You could try the program I've write to see what races are coming. And also you can see which tracks you should purchase for the season of your favorite series.
