Inkscape is looking for a GTK developer Contributor
We have lots of mostly front-end stuff proposed for Inkscape but not enough developers to implement this. If you looking for a good place to contribute I think Inkscape is a good place for that. this is specific issue for design I provided https://gitlab.com/inkscape/ux/-/issues/143

How do I get the old snapping menu back?
I'm not an Inkscape developer myself, but from what I have read on the official bug-tracker, the developers are keenly aware about the new snapping popover's drawbacks and the potential problems for advanced users (and were even before they released the latest version).

Any way to preview fonts on text on the page while scrolling through them?
Hopefully, your dream will become true in the next major release (inkscape 1.3). If you're interested checkout this: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/ux/-/issues/151

Potemkin villages and the autocracy of design
inkscape actually had a proposal to align with GTK/GNOME's guidelines: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/ux/-/issues/24
- So I may have found a way to add multiple page support, just need some help from devs to know if this is possible.

2D Anime Computer Graphics. A humble beginning.
For other features' related tech, they are pretty well researched and there are off-the-shelf C++ library to use. Label to fill is a point location problem (2D arrangement)and has already been widely researched and used in industrial areas like GIS and CAD. Stroke binding is just a nearest point finding on curve. Check out the repository if you are interested in the usage of those features.
