Is there a way to package an interpreter with a story?
Here's the github repo, it was just open sourced last week. You can compile it from source now, and I imagine the UI frontends will be updated in a couple of weeks. IIRC, compiling directly to other languages is now possible, although I'm not sure how much that impacts your use case.

What are your thoughts about gerrit?
Gerrit is optimized for in-house work lead by engineers who would rather be using Subversion. ("Subversion merge isn't worth using so I don't see why we need it.") It tends to be hostile to community contribution: outsiders get a second-class experience, so if community participation is your goal it's a bad choice.
