Does Gnome have a keyboard shortcut for an emoji insert popup window?
At some point in time I started using UniEmoji for ibus https://github.com/salty-horse/ibus-uniemoji which adds custom keyboard layout that let's you insert emojis. Found it to be way better than Gnomes built-in solution that worked in all the places I do not care about and most of the extensions just inserted it in clipboard which was mildly annoying

[Vanilla Arch] The app "Emote" doesn't work. Help?
Note - Emote under Wayland cannot automatically paste the emoji into other apps and also requires manual registering of a global keyboard shortcut - Hotkey In Wayland. This is due to intentional restrictions in the design of Wayland itself.

Emoji Picker (+ Launcher?) for Sway
I currently use Wofi as my launcher, also experimentally as my password manager and as a quick text entry tool that uses a script to talk to the notion API. I also separately use Emote as my emoji-picker, it does however, currently have the limitation of pasting into apps, so it only copies to clipboard.

Any idea how to implement emoji shortcut panel in Xfce?
However, this thing is gtk-specific. The most efficient workaround is to use another custom emoji picker, such as Emote or Rofi-emoji (I use this)
