  • ibus-uniemoji

Input method (ibus) for entering unicode symbols and emoji by name

  • At some point in time I started using UniEmoji for ibus https://github.com/salty-horse/ibus-uniemoji which adds custom keyboard layout that let's you insert emojis. Found it to be way better than Gnomes built-in solution that worked in all the places I do not care about and most of the extensions just inserted it in clipboard which was mildly annoying
