Managing Godot Versions

I think having better default WorldEnvironment would make more people stick with Godot and make it more popular with better screenshots (like UE Does, where all the juicy effects are enabled by default). Here is some experiments in 3.5.stable
I personally think that the ultimate solution would be to have a better project manager that lets you easily choose templates when creating a new project. Ever since I started using godot manager I've been wondering why we don't have its features by default. With it I have a template that is closer to what unreal offers, with high quality setting enabled and some prototype textures already imported. It makes the experience a whole lot nicer.

I wrote a package manager for Godot 3.x that uses NPM for its package hosting!
I'm assuming you are talking about godot-manager? I've actually chatted with the creator about a possible integration.

Maybe a slightly different question from the typical “convince me to get Godot!”
Anyway, the default launcher is good but kinda slow. This one lets you manage Godot versions when upgrades come out, downloads from GitHub releases so faster than whatever their default provider is, and it’s actually built with the engine (with c#!): https://eumario.itch.io/godot-manager Pay what you want ($0) or grab the executable from their GitHub repo!

Is there an option to only show a specific folder's contents in the project list?
You could always open an issue! https://github.com/eumario/godot-manager

Is it viable to use Godot to develop a Tool?
The Godot Editor and Project Manager is built with Godot API, on a C++ level. I am developing Godot Manager, which utilizes Godot and C# to do a Project Manager and Engine Version Manager for Godot, similar in style to Unity Hub. You can see some of the screenshots at https://github.com/eumario/godot-manager u/Jordancjb.

How to name the new bundle of importers?
I'm finalizing a large bundle of raster graphics and animation importers for Godot. This bundle already supports: Aseprite, Krita and Pencil2D. And will be able to support GraphicsGale, Piskel, Pixelorama and regular GIF-format in the future.

Is there a way to change zoom?
If none of this sounds appealing, the only other suggestions I have are either find 3rd party magnifying lens software or to search for a new pixel editor. There are some newer pixel art editors out there, such as Pixelorama, PixiEditor and PixelMash. There are also general raster image editors, such as GIMP and Krita. Other suggestions are listed on Lospec.

KDE and GNOME seek $100k to turn Flathub into a store for the Linux desktop
Pixelorama is another open source pixel editor that looks increasingly like an alternative to Aseprite (although I do not think it is in any way officially trying to be a free clone of that).
