Exporting to Linux arm64
To point you in a direction, Efornara made FRT which was originally meant for Raspberry Pis, but can basically run on any linux arm device now. You can download the binaries and try that, the link is in the description, but you can also build your own templates if you know how to and understand using Docker.

Godot 3.5.2 on Raspberry Pi 3B < 20 FPS
I made a quick test project with a scrolling news ticker and clock. I've exported it with both "the" unofficial Godot Engine for the Raspberry Pi and FRT templates. Both have a similar result: when Godot is scalled to full screen, the frame rate for this controls-only (2D) project is < 20 FPS.

Managed to use SonicMaster's port to convert this little game to the PS Vita!
Godot works well on Raspberry pi 4 and other OPENGL ES-supported ARM-devices thanks to Godot FRT export-templates. Check here: https://github.com/efornara/frt I've have tested on a RG351V-handheld. See video here: https://twitter.com/NilskiLabs/status/1593590541622681602?s=20 This is Godot 3.5.2, but support for Godot 4.0 is currently in experimental-phase

handheld for gamdevs?
FRT by efornara is the repository that explains how the bins are compiled. He also has some compiled bins that you can download and try instead of mine.

Anyone else make games for raspberry pi?
You can make godot games and run them on the raspberry pi just fine! At least 2D is working very well and 3D is also working but not feature-complete. Take a look at https://github.com/efornara/frt if you want to run godot games on the pi. I am currently working on a simple 2D RTS specifically made for the Pi Zero 2 and the performance is really good so far. :)

Can games be programmed for RetroPie?
Is this it? And yes, I forgot about TIC-80! I haven't tried that one at all, but it looks very cool.

There are still pending issues, but the basics are there. See: https://github.com/efornara/frt/issues/39

Wanted to share this quick update of how my RG351 platformer is coming along 🐧❄️
I'm using the Godot game engine mainly. To compile for the RG351, I'm using this export template: https://github.com/efornara/frt

Ask HN: Yo wants to build a game, I'm lost. What can I do?
Or the more free TIC-80. I have paid for both, but never used either enough to be able to say one or the other has any significant advantages.
