Does Anyone Know How To Corrupt Wii Roms?
I believe that is what they're talking about - you can create unusual behavior in games by changing data in ROMs, changing values in the memory while the game is running, or modifying savestates. The easiest way to do it is using RTC: https://redscientist.com/rtc / https://github.com/redscientistlabs/RTCV
