Yes, it is enough and its basically what this package does. https://github.com/zaghaghi/direct-json-import/blob/master/src/direct_json_import/__init__.py#L17-L23. Along with some niceties of finding what you want to import. But that could also be seen as an undesirable side effect. I'm not throwing shade on the project. Your question is valid.

Im new to blender and I have a rar file that I want to import into blender
I found a way to do it, just install this addon: https://github.com/johnzero7/XNALaraMesh/releases/tag/v2.0.2 and import the .mesh file.

[MAC] been trying to install an Add-on for hours. It worked ONCE. Every time I try, it says that it was installed but NEVER appears. WHAT DO I DO?
