What's the Godot way to structuring the communication with the GUI?
For some context, I'm an experienced (~10 years) programmer starting to dabble in game development. I'm learning to build various systems to gain experience and understanding, and recently I was interested in developing a dialogue system with an editor similar to what Dialogic provides.

How to make a basic branching dialogue system?
There are two great dialogue systems available for Godot, Godot Dialogue Manager, which is geared more towards writing things in a script, and Dialogic with a nice user interface, that is more artist-friendly (though direct script editing is also available). It also has more features (at least in the new version, which is currently under development for the upcoming Godot 4 and might not be suitable for production).

What's a good android engine for an old-school writer?
Something to note, if you browse the Godot feeds (reddit, twitter) you will see that a lot of people create dialogue editors in it. This is because creating these tools in Godot is pretty easy (I have made on in the past too called Whiskers) so this may be a good candidate if you are looking for something more flexible
