Citra controller config
The latest model from this github page. I don't know what I did the one time I got it right. Again I'm new to emulation so I don't understand all the vocabulary.

Setting up your Apple Silicon Mac for Gaming
Great compilation! I have some suggrstions though: For 3DS games, I believe you'd be better off linking a fork (something like this), as the official builds don't support Apple Silicon quite well (had a bad experience with it).

Best M1 Mac Settings For Mario Kart 7?
Hey all, I am struggling to get settings right to play MK7 at a decent frame rate. In the game menus the game runs perfectly, but as soon as the race starts Citra chugs at around 20%. I am running the M1 version from here: https://github.com/MichaelGDev48/citra-nightly-arm64-mac and have an M1 Mac mini with 16gb of RAM. I have just updated the OS to Ventura 13.0.1.

Tags no longer register and i've finally had it with galaxy 2.0. Any recommended alternatives?
Heroic Games Launcher: Support is limited to Epic, GOG and Amazon but the advantage is that it can manage their games itself without the need of their own launchers. Doesn't have support for tags currently.

Making the switch - what are the gaps?
For "normal" games you could look yourself using ProtonDB regarding every game released on Steam and AreWeAntiCheatYet for most multiplayer games. If a game isn't available on Steam you have three possibilities. First if it's available on GOG, Epic Games or Amazon Gaming, you could use the Heroic Games Launcher. Second you could try to run the launchers through Steam itself using once again Proton. Third you could try installing it with a script or tutorial in Lutris or Bottles.

I just bought a steam deck for my 15yo’s bday present - now what?
Maybe also look into HeroicGamesLauncher and how to install it, Steam isn't the only platform for gaming and HeroicGamesLauncher help with the following platform: GoG (Good Old Games) and EGS (Epic Game Store).
- According to a survey, only 36% of PC gamers buy games at full price.
