Citra controller config
The latest model from this github page. I don't know what I did the one time I got it right. Again I'm new to emulation so I don't understand all the vocabulary.

Setting up your Apple Silicon Mac for Gaming
Great compilation! I have some suggrstions though: For 3DS games, I believe you'd be better off linking a fork (something like this), as the official builds don't support Apple Silicon quite well (had a bad experience with it).

Best M1 Mac Settings For Mario Kart 7?
Hey all, I am struggling to get settings right to play MK7 at a decent frame rate. In the game menus the game runs perfectly, but as soon as the race starts Citra chugs at around 20%. I am running the M1 version from here: https://github.com/MichaelGDev48/citra-nightly-arm64-mac and have an M1 Mac mini with 16gb of RAM. I have just updated the OS to Ventura 13.0.1.

I'm new to this thing help
And there's a Citra Vulkan from the official team, it's on gpucode GitHub page : https://github.com/GPUCode/citra/actions . It has massive performance uplift over all the other builds. However, it's in development and some builds break stuff while some fix stuff. This one is best used by people who like experimenting on their own. For example, a build from yesterday might not work but the latest one does. There's usually like 15 builds per week.

3DS Emulator for Mac
Very helpful! Here's the last Intel version of Citra that works: https://community.citra-emu.org/t/i-dont-see-select-components-in-citra-update/679357/3 Someone also mentioned something about this Vulkan port, if that doesn't work, or if it runs badly? https://github.com/GPUCode/citra/suites/10639170425/artifacts/531355745

what can my Samsung a12 phone emulate?
3DS will be possible in the future. The new vulkan build in development runs like a dream on Mali GPUs. https://github.com/GPUCode/citra/actions. Build 214 is really good rn. Note, it's in testing and will take weeks or months to get merged with the mainline.

Vulkan vs OpenGL performance comparison
You can find the code here: https://github.com/GPUCode/citra/tree/vulkan-2/src/video_core/renderer_vulkan more specifically the vk_scheduler.h/.cpp file. See vk_texture_runtime for examples on how it's used. It's basically a glorified std::vector that manually type erases lambdas and packs them into chunks for the recorder thread to execute. This this done to eliminate heap allocations from std::function and reuse memory as much as possible. The credit goes to the yuzu maintainers for this.
