Messages Web App alternative for Mac texting?
I've been using Chris Knepper's application for a while now on Windows and it works perfectly fine. There's a macOS alternative as well.

MacOS continuity. Can you have similar on a Linux distro + an Android smartphone?
SMS: You can sync SMS messages two ways; Gsconnect (GTK) / KDE Connect (QT), or Android Messages has their own sync app which is not as clunky as KDE Connect. You can find it in your repos, AUR, flatpack, etc.

Google messages for web keeps unpairing on my PC
Are you using it with Chrome? You might have luck with Android Messages (a desktop wrapper for messages.google.com)
- For anyone using Android with macOS, you can install messages.google.com as a PWA (from Edge) and use it as an iMessage replacement when connected to your Android Phone - You need to download the official Google Messaging app from the Play Store, too.
- Do you know of a texting apps that syncs & can be controlled from my computer? (osx)

I Miss windows Phone
If you use Google Messages and download this PC application or use the Your Phone App you can text from your PC as well. Funny enough thats one of the biggest reasons I switched from iPhone to Android. Apple's closed ecosystem feels so limiting to me.

There's actually a desktop app for this! I got tired of always having a tab open for Google Messages so I have this running all the time now and it works great.

Yesterdays update broke something on my laptop and PC
I think I got the kernel update linux-image-5.15.0-43-generic yesterday and since then after rebooting my android messages app stopped working, I can see it is running in the process background but it will not show up on screen. https://github.com/OrangeDrangon/android-messages-desktop
