There's actually a desktop app for this! I got tired of always having a tab open for Google Messages so I have this running all the time now and it works great.

Yesterdays update broke something on my laptop and PC
I think I got the kernel update linux-image-5.15.0-43-generic yesterday and since then after rebooting my android messages app stopped working, I can see it is running in the process background but it will not show up on screen. https://github.com/OrangeDrangon/android-messages-desktop

For anyone using Android with macOS, you can install messages.google.com as a PWA (from Edge) and use it as an iMessage replacement when connected to your Android Phone - You need to download the official Google Messaging app from the Play Store, too.

2 - VD (virtual Desktop) is one of the ways to play PCVR with the meta's VR, but not the only one, you can also use oculus link (which is meta's way to connect your quest with your pc either wireless or wired) or steam link which is pretty recent and is steams way to connect your headset. All of them have their perks and issues, the only one you need to pay for is VD and so far, as we test all 3 of them VD is the one that performs the best*.

Hi there, first I want to thank VHS Productions for the nice idea to play Superhot VR in Mixed Reality. I made a Tutrial and Gameplay video if you want to try and see it yourself. 1. You have to buy Virtual Desktop from the Meta Store https://www.meta.com/de-de/experiences/2017050365004772 2. You have to buy Superhot VR in the SteamVR PCVR version https://store.steampowered.com/app/617830/SUPERHOT\_VR 3. Download the Virtual Desktop Streamer app https://www.vrdesktop.net 4. Start the Virtual Desktop Streamer app on the PC, enter your Meta/Oculus account 5. Start Virtual Desktop on Quest 3, connect to PC (same network!) 6. Open the Virtual Desktop menu (menu button on the left controller) 7. Streaming - Enable “VR Passthrough”. 8. On "Configure", select color white, 50% Similarity, 10% Smoothness 9.
