Convenient way to enter a lot (100s of episodes) of TV metadata?
Unfortunately, Plex does not support NFO files, at least not with the new Metadata Agents. You would need to use 3rd Party Metadata Agents for Movies and TV-Shows and then use a separate library to use them since 3rd Party Agents don't work anymore in tandem with the new Plex official Agents.

Managing file metadata for home videos
Download this agent. Follow instructions under "Manual Installation." Now you have a new importing agent for plex.

Software to create nfo files based on Metadata of videos?
While Plex normally doesn't read nfo files, you can install XBMCnfoMoviesImporter and XBMCnfoTVImporter agents to make it possible.
-
How do you use tinyMediaManager?
To utilize NFO files you would need the NFO importer Metadata Agent for Movies and TV-Shows.

Need Help with Organizing Spongebob on my Plex
Fourth: Using a different Agent. There is an NFO Importer that can read NFO files that you would need to create. This would make the metadata completely local and "refreshing" it would mean that you have to change it manually. Unfortunately, those "type" of agents are 3rd Party and rely on an old dependency in plex. While they still work, there is no official statement yet when those metadata agents will stop working. Plex has deprecated plugins for 4-5 years now which Metadata agents are technically a part of. That also means that you wouldn't be able to mix those agents together. Unfortunately, you cannot select a 3rd Party agent to retrieve metadata for a library that is mainly using the new and official plex metadata agents.
-
Moving a Plex install to another system
For example, you could create NFO files to store the metadata next to the video files and then use the NFO Movies Importer or NFO TV-Show Importer to read those NFO files that you can create with tinyMediaManager. You could also look into Plex-Meta-Manager but either of those solutions would require that you already have those files or create them, nothing really to get them out of plex in an easy way.

Plex deleted metadata after scanning library
The first one would be to use a different metadata Agent there NFO importer for TV-Shows and Movies. They will read the NFO files and add them to your Library item. AFAIK you can create those NFO files with TinyMediaManager This would give you total control over the metadata being added.

Controlling 4k access based on location
Maybe not with stock Plex, but Tautulli with the JBOPS scripts should be able to do it.

Tautulli kill script failing to terminate session
I've been running the killscript to stop 4K transcodes for years, and I've just noticed that it doesn't work any longer. When it's triggered, I get the following error in Tautulli logs:

Help with limiterr.py (Tautulli)
I am attempting to limit stream auto play at night and I found this limiterr python script was the only option that seems to be available running on tautuilli.(https://github.com/blacktwin/JBOPS/blob/master/killstream/limiterr.py).

There's has to be a better system to just change the default remote streaming video setting to automatically use what the server is configured for rather than it being defaulted to 720p on a new client.
I recommend using Tautulli and this https://github.com/blacktwin/JBOPS/tree/master/killstream to automatically kill streams. Also configure it to reference https://mediaclients.wiki whenever it kills the stream so users know how to fix it.

Any way to use thetvdb's "joined order" or "alternate order" in plex?
What about this script https://github.com/blacktwin/JBOPS/blob/master/utility/merge_multiepisodes.py

Best programs to use alongside Plex?
Tautulli for monitoring and notifications, plus some scripts for "maintenance," such as killing 4K transcodes and stopping remote streams after they've been paused for X minutes. These are from the JBOPS repository.

/r/Plex's Moronic Mondays' No Stupid Questions Thread - 2023-04-24
Unless someone has already created what you're looking for (JBOPS/reporting is a good initial place to look), you'll probably have to write something yourself that makes calls to Tautulli's API.
