Still no love for WPA3 on the Raspberry Pi 5
Just a note that if you're _serious_ about WiFi on the Raspberry Pi... you should use an external WiFi adapter—either PCIe or USB.
With the Compute Module 4, I've successfully tested a variety of adapters [1], from WiFi 6E to older mini PCIe and M.2 cards. There's even a board made for the purpose of multi-WiFi testing, the Seaberry [2].
The Raspberry Pi 5 works with all the PCIe WiFi chips I've tested (haven't had time to summarize testing on pipci database site yet, including a mt7921u-based WiFi 6E USB adapter (haven't written that up, but check out [3]).

Looking for a specific WiFi adapter recommendation for PineTab2
Hey all, I've read the Github list of Linux WiFi adapters (https://github.com/morrownr/USB-WiFi/blob/main/home/The_Short_List.md) but I've seen sporadic comments of certain users saying some haven't worked for them. I'm a bit risk averse buying something most likely from the USA and waiting a while for it to get to Australia and it not work, so I was hoping some people could comment with their specific models that have worked for them.

Since I don't have access to a Ethernet or anything else (tried Samsung tethering did not work) I am out of option tried installing the GitHub bit am major noob had no idea what to do. I think this is the right GitHub - aircrack-ng/rtl8812au: RTL8812AU/21AU and RTL8814AU driver with monitor mode and frame injection for anyone that can help guide me through an installation without internet thank you very much.

I update linux mint today and it caused my usb wifi adapter to stop working, the computer still registers it’s connected, but I don’t understand how a update would mess up my driver, I’m using rtl8812au

Very unstable ping when using hotspot in Linux.
I'm using Arch Linux (6.1.15-1-lts) with "TP-Link Archer T2U PLUS (RTL8821AU)" and these drivers (I have also tried using these drivers. I'm using an Ethernet connection and I've setup a hotspot in my PC (to use it with my android devices) (I don't have a Wi-Fi router at the moment, sorry). I'm getting serious ping losses in my android phone. Messaging apps are taking forever to send/receive messages (but not when using hotspot from Windows 10).
