Archer T2U Nano Drivers No Internet Connection Help Please
Hello thanks everyone for help I recently instilled Ubuntu Linux (version 22.04.03 LTS) and my Archer T2U Nano Drivers were not recognized since I am new, I looked for tutorials and they all assumed you have a working internet connection so can just download the git hub online. Since I don't have access to a Ethernet or anything else (tried Samsung tethering did not work) I am out of option tried installing the GitHub bit am major noob had no idea what to do. I think this is the right GitHub - aircrack-ng/rtl8812au: RTL8812AU/21AU and RTL8814AU driver with monitor mode and frame injection for anyone that can help guide me through an installation without internet thank you very much.

I update linux mint today and it caused my usb wifi adapter to stop working, the computer still registers it’s connected, but I don’t understand how a update would mess up my driver, I’m using rtl8812au

Very unstable ping when using hotspot in Linux.
I'm using Arch Linux (6.1.15-1-lts) with "TP-Link Archer T2U PLUS (RTL8821AU)" and these drivers (I have also tried using these drivers. I'm using an Ethernet connection and I've setup a hotspot in my PC (to use it with my android devices) (I don't have a Wi-Fi router at the moment, sorry). I'm getting serious ping losses in my android phone. Messaging apps are taking forever to send/receive messages (but not when using hotspot from Windows 10).

https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au asumen that you already see this link only for reference, in theory if it works with any of your rt88xxau it will be work with the newest alpha Wi-Fi adapters such as AWUS036ACH.

Why are drivers so complicated?
RHEL 8 is a 4.18 kernel, this driver might work as it is tested with 4.15. Realtek drivers are known to be annoying, unfortunately they are in a ton of USB dongles because they are so cheap.

Archer T3U
You bought an adapter with no linux support. A short google search shows that thing uses a Realtek RTL8812BU chip. It looks like there is a 3rd party driver made for linux at https://github.com/fastoe/RTL8812BU but it requires you to clone and compile it.

brostrend wifi adapter
Is it https://www.brostrend.com/products/ac3? I ask because I bought https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/284231856690 and followed instructions here, https://github.com/fastoe/RTL8812BU - instructions are different depending on kernel. Yours and mine use the same chipset.

BTF file not generated because vmlinux could not be found
The sophisticated driver from https://github.com/fastoe/RTL8812BU expects the mentioned kernel image vmlinux in the standard location

Couldn't install RTL8812BU driver & gave up
I downloaded this driver: https://github.com/fastoe/RTL8812BU/tree/v5.8.7 and hoped to easily install it offline, but it didn't work. Terminal tries to download metadata, but obviously it's not possible without internet. Compiling it gave also an error, if I remember correctly it said that it couldn't find anything in temp build folder? DKMS can't be installed either. I also tried to download it on my phone and move it then to Fedora (like I did with the WiFi driver), but it wasn't possible to install it because of too many dependencies that I have no access to...

Had no WIFI option at all. Downloaded this driver (RTL8812BU v5.6.1, for 5.10 kernel) on my phone and connected it then to my PC, so I can install it: https://github.com/fastoe/RTL8812BU/tree/v5.6.1
