When I download videos in Russian I get junk text for the title instead of the Russian text. I have the Russian language pack installed in Win10.

Highly recommend this fork - https://github.com/JordyAlkema/Youtube-DL-Agent.bundle/ - you can invoke youtube-dl with --write-info-json and --write-thumbnail and not lose your metadata if the video is removed from Youtube :)

I've found https://github.com/JordyAlkema/Youtube-DL-Agent.bundle to be the best agent and I store my videos as a separate library. It relies on the local meta data instead of trying to ping youtube which can get you rate limited quickly
