Project mention: I'm fine with the basics of Plex - now what can I do to really use plex to it's full potential? | /r/PleX | 2023-12-09With Tautulli you have a better monitoring system than what Plex offers. Streaming history split by user, you can add notifications to a lot of services like Slack, email and so on. You can even create newsletters being sent out to users based on what was added to your server.
Sub-Zero has not been maintained since 2021 so I wouldn't consider that a good source.
Project mention: Ask HN: Anyone else getting continuous adverts from YouTube? | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-07-26https://github.com/meeb/tubesync
It will automatically download new videos from any public channel or playlist.
Preps everything for kodi, including metadata, sensible folder structures etc. https://github.com/jmbannon/ytdl-sub
https://github.com/itsToggle/plex_debrid supports Plex/Emby/Jellyfin/Infuse
If this could replace the semi-stale project called Varken, I’d be soo happy https://github.com/Boerderij/Varken
I used to do that, now I use Plex (running in a docker container on a machine under my stairs) and the Plex Kodi Connect (PKC) to sync my Kodi database to my Plex database. Best of both worlds
Oh shit! I never even bothered to look because I asked a long time ago and was given and emphatic no. It looks like there is a playlist class. So I'll have to play with that and see what it can do.
Project mention: Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me!! Recent streaming services, prices and shows getting butchered, finally decided its time. Here's how a basic self-hosted 'Netflix' would look like. Fully automated once its setup. Using only a makeshift homelab server from second hand parts. | /r/Piracy | 2023-07-06Yes. checkout out Ezarr
Project mention: Is there an Arr (Radarr, Sonarr, etc) programm that can download audiobooks? | /r/usenet | 2023-07-07
This is the way to go. I don't know the exact specifics, but there are some good Plex Agents for Youtube, including https://github.com/ZeroQI/YouTube-Agent.bundle and https://github.com/benkle-libs/YTDL-Agent.bundle
Project mention: /r/Plex's Moronic Mondays' No Stupid Questions Thread - 2023-08-21 | /r/PleX | 2023-08-28My guess is that for both tracks the actual language code used is just Spanish, and it's just the title that indicates esp versus lat. In that case, since there are multiple tracks with the same language, Plex will pick the first track available. You might have to use something like PASTA or Plex Auto Languages for better control over selected audio/subtitles.
Yeah I'll try and get that uploaded tomorrow. I'd really recommend checking out TCM, it can automatically make all of these for you as soon as the episode aires, and is a lot easier than checking my Drive, haha.
Project mention: is there a way to "create a skip intro button" for specific videos? | /r/PleX | 2023-07-07Quick command-line script: https://github.com/Casvt/Plex-scripts/blob/main/changing_settings/intro_marker_editor.py
