However, the installation of vanilla Arch is basically not difficult either. And for some time now, archinstall has been included in the official package sources, which can simplify the installation.

Quick questions about arch
That's for you to decide. Basically, the installation of Arch consists to a large extent only of executing the commands mentioned in the official instructions. In addition, Archinstall (https://github.com/Torxed/archinstall) has recently been added to the official package sources which makes installation simpler.
-
Haha ha
Seems like it is designed to do both equally well. Has a guided installer and functions as a python library for installing arch and whatnot programmatically. https://github.com/Torxed/archinstall

Archinstall is now available in the official package sources of Arch Linux
Crap. Seems like I linked to the wrong repository. Correct is probably https://github.com/Torxed/archinstall.
-
Archinstall is now a offical package
Just to inform, a fix has been merged: PR #84: reworked kde.py to use sddm instead of hacking xinitrc and will be in v2.1.1 this weekend :) Thanks for reporting and pointing this out!

low effort meme (true tho)
My script asks for all the questions at the start (username, password, drives, and such) and then you can walk away and it'll be done. If you want, you can modify my own. I think it's not too hard to understand, and the readme explains how it works and what you should change, so you can give it a go: https://github.com/tralph3/arch-install

Is anyone aware of a good tutorial on setting up .vimrc to pull from git on each fresh Linux install?

"Installing Arch is hard"... oh really?
So, basically, I did a very easy to use and highly customizable Arch installation script. If you want to use it yourself, you will have to modify some things. Everything is explained in the readme. https://github.com/tralph3/arch-install

Yet another Arch installation script

archpy - Arch Linux install helper written in Python.
I also made an install script, although honestly, it's tailored for my personal use, but it is kinda flexible (not a lot mind you).

KDE doesnt let you delete kde apps
BTW, in case you care, in my arch install script I have listed all the KDE packages I actually care about, in case you want/need a KDE install that's not so minimal it lacks features, but also not super bloated: https://github.com/tralph3/arch-install/blob/master/packages.sh

Would you help me debug my custom arch installation script?
The script is designed to make a GPT partitioning scheme with kde plasma. Here's how it looks: https://github.com/tralph3/arch-install/blob/master/install.sh
